The surface of the wood is covered with five lacquer layers to protect it from abrasion and stains. Maintaining and cleaning lacquered wooden floors couldn’t be easier. Lacquer-covered flooring is more resistant to liquid spills and dirt, making one simple motion of sweeping or wiping enough to get rid of any accumulated dirt.

Here are some tips on how you can take care of your lacquered floors:

  • Only use special cleaning and maintenance products for lacquered floors
  • Place a doormat or rug at the exit of the room to prevent dirt from getting inside
  • If any dirt, sand or gravel gets on the floor, try to remove it as soon as possible to avoid scratching
  • Attach felt pads to the legs of the furniture
  • To remove dust, use a vacuum cleaner or a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Never leave wet stains / water marks

The surface of the wood is covered with three layers of a special UV-cured oil coating. Oiled floors are less resistant to dirt than lacquered ones, spilled liquids get absorbed easier, so they need to be cleaned immediately. However, oiled floors are much easier to repair when they get damaged or dirty. Sunlight and UV rays affect the oxidation process of wood, making it age and change its colour quicker, and a special UV oil coating helps to slow down this process.

Here are some tips on how you can take care of your oiled floors:

  • Only use special cleaning and maintenance products for oiled floors. The use of other products may cause discoloration, stains, changes in the gloss or slipperiness of the floor
  • Place a doormat or rug at the exit of the room to prevent dirt from getting inside
  • If any dirt, sand or gravel gets on the floor, try to remove it as soon as possible to avoid scratching
  • Attach felt pads to the legs of the furniture
  • Place a protective mat under wheelchairs
  • To remove dust, use a soft dry or slightly damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a special nozzle for wooden floors. Never leave wet stains / water marks
